We show you how to set up a local web server and then an affordable VPS, so you can manage your own website with AI.

What is VS Code?

A program made by Microsoft that is brilliantly simple for coding. But when it comes to AI, the handy part is that it logs your conversations, so you can easily look back on work done earlier (memory.)

What is Claude?

A brilliant AI when it comes to websites (and plenty more.)

Is it hard?

No, even for a beginner - once we set up the system for you - it will be easy enough to make changes to the site without you even needing to log in to your website at all. Everything can be done through conversation with AI.

What about security?

We log in and set up the VPS with a web server and database, plus a solution that makes it easy for Claude to log in and manage things on your behalf. We also set up a firewall and automatic security updates.

Why Claude?

Claude understands how to make a good design "out of the box". Once you have gained some knowledge and experience, you can use Claude Code together with Claude Design. Code specialises in coding and Design in design. Same AI, but trained differently.

What does Claude cost?

From 20 USD per month.

VS Code is made by Microsoft, where you can install Claude AI as an extension and get a chat window.

A VPS is the most affordable option, where you give Claude the ability to log in to the server and manage your website on your behalf.

Docker on the VPS
The easiest way to manage sites with Claude as the administrator on your server is to use Docker. You don't need to learn Docker - Claude already knows it. Think VirtualBox for server applications.
